At the age of three, Banjo, our 95 pound black Labrador, joined my family. He served as both protector and entertainer for the Mottl family for 10+ years. Every morning without fail, Banjo dutifully bolted out the front door to hunt down the newspaper for my dad. Banjo doggedly searched under cars, in bushes, and in our neighbor’s yard and once located, joyfully deposited it at my father’s feet. Banjo anxiously awaited his pat on the head and his favorite words, “Good boy Banjo! Let’s get you breakfast!” While Banjo gobbled Purina Dog Chow, my parents, brother, and I leisurely enjoyed our fried eggs, crispy bacon, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. On occasion, my dad shared leftover bits with Banjo, scraping them into his bowl. Banjo’s full-body reaction- tail wagging, paws dancing, and joyful barking- made me wonder, “Why can’t Banjo enjoy a meal like us?”

Cut to today, Banjo Bites offers a healthy, fresh, tasty treat to bring joy to your pooches! Served as an entrée, appetizer or tasty side dish, us humans can now show our pooches the love by breaking up the monotony.
